Originally called Pea Beans, the US Navy coined the term Navy Beans because they served them regularly for years. These beans are white, small, oval shaped, and hold their shape when cooked. Very popular in the south and the bean of choice for making traditional Boston Baked Beans. This is often the bean used in the BBQ world when making BBQ beans. We use them for our BBQ beans here at Eureka Farms.
